Victor Vincent Fuentes was born to Victor Gamboa Fuentes, an ex-Mexican jazz musician, and Vivian K. Fuentes. Vic has a younger brother Mike, also a member of Pierce the Veil. He also has two half-brothers and one half-sister. Fuentes started to play guitar at the age of seven, showing a love for music from an early age. Vic attended Mission Bay High School before enrolling at San Diego State University to study graphic design, but he dropped out of studies in order to pursue a career in music.
Fuentes launched his career in 1998 during high school days, and played guitar in a local punk bad named 3 Simple Words with his friend Curtis Peoples; they later played together in the Pierce the Veil. Vic and his brother Mike formed the band “Early Times” in 1998. and recorded three EP’s before forced to change the band’s name due to copyright issues. They renamed it “Before Today” and released their only album called “A Celebration of an Ending” in 2004, but the group broke up after two years.
The brothers then formed Pierce the Veil in 2006, and they’re still active today. The band has released four studio albums: “A Flair for the Dramatic” (2007), “Selfish Machines” (2010), “Collide with the Sky” (2012), and most recently “Misadventures” (2016), all of which have increased Vic’s net worth. The group has toured South America, North America, Europe, Asia and Australia on several occasions and performed at world-renowned festivals such as “Rock am Ring”, “Slam Dunk Festival”, and “Soundwave Festival”.
